About Thanasis

Thanasis Bounas was born in Athens in 1974. An uneasy spirit and always multitasking, he has dealt with many and different fields (CVS team) up to today, however devoting himself henceforth entirely to sailing and photography.

During the last nine years whilst involved with sailing, he has undertaken a lot of transports of ships throughout Greece and also in the wider area of the Mediterranean (Northern Italy, Slovenia, France) and has acted as skipper in sailing vacation charters. The hyper Atlantic voyage that he will begin shortly starting from Vancouver (voyage or home) will lend him still greater experience in both a technical as well as a personal level.

Let's not however forget photography, his permanent and beloved pastime from his youth. With his undiminished interest toward pictures of nature but also the destructions caused by her, in human figures and the expressions of both children and the elderly, but also samples of our ancient Greek culture, he has populated a sizeable photo gallery, which has already been presented in both team and private exhibitions. Professionally he has dealt with shoots of professional spaces and commercial products. This voyage will serve to further enrich his collection of photographs and video.
